Eastern Market Shoe Repair sits a short walk from Eastern Market on Capitol Hill. Every summer we re-stitch straps and replace soles, so we know which sandals last — and that's what we sell: handmade leather sandals, mules and clogs, plus handcrafted solid wood furniture.

Why real leather

Leather straps soften, breathe and shape to your foot. Stitched and riveted straps can be repaired; glued synthetics usually can't.

Most of our sandals are handmade to order by small workshops in Greece, Mexico, Morocco and Sweden, so color and grain vary slightly.

What we carry

Women's sandals — Greek, toe-ring, criss-cross and huarache styles.
Men's sandals — slides, Greek strap sandals, fisherman sandals and huaraches.
Mules & clogs — leather mules and wooden-sole Swedish-style clogs.
